The LHSLL Season kicked off this past weekend and one team in specific announced they're ready to compete for a title this year.  That would be the Jesuit Blue Jays.

Jesuit played two game on Saturday, taking down St. Paul's Episcopal 17-2 and following it up with another dominant win against Southern Elite 16-4.  For their efforts, the are rewarded with both the Primo Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Offensive Player of the Week: Clark Romig -Fogo/M

A reigning 1st Team All-State selection,Romig was dominant in both games this weekend.  He ended up with 7 goals, 6 assists and 14 ground balls while winning 26/30 face-offs.  

Defensive Player of the Week:  Luke Powers- LSM

Powers gets the first DPOW award for his dominat play on the wings for the Blue Jays.  In two games, he score a goal, scooped up 12 groundballs, and caused 5 turnovers. 

For their efforts, the Blue Jays will be rewared with a pair of Primo Lacrosse Universal Lacrosse sticks.
